Simulation of Single Point Incremental Forming SPIF in ABAQUS – running
Single Point Incremental forming is a forming process used to generate 3D parts by stretching the sheet with a semi-hemispherical tooltip or flat tooltip. It is a suitable and economical forming process for non-mass production.
SPIF has still suffered a lack of standard parameters. Simulation SPIF process using FEM of different analysis software supports experimental results to understand the process boundary conditions and the failure criteria. Furthermore, to build predictive factors that optimize the parameters of the process experimentally, it needs more studies and simulation.
