Network formation games – running
The approximately 10-year-old research domain of network formation games intends to include economic considerations into modeling the process of formation of different networks, and to use these models in order to explain the features of natural and artificial networks. In this project we build our network formation model including the geographical distance traveled by the edges and some waiting time within the nodes in addition to the cost of creating links. Our simulations to be run on the cluster seek equilibria in these extended network formation games with total costs as close to the social welfare as possible.
