Simulation of scanning tunneling microscopy/spectroscopy (STM/STS) – running
The scanning tunneling microscope (STM) is one of the most useful tools in the investigation of diverse physical and chemical phenomena on the atomic and nanoscale. In the project we are investigating the surfaces of technologically relevant materials with the use of different levels of electron transport theories, aiming at the better understanding of phenomena of e.g. magnetic data storage, catalysis, etc.
